Since 1957 Hungry Mother Lutheran Retreat Center has been providing its guests a variety of accommodations to suit their needs. Our mission is to provide intentional community in God’s creation. We are pleased to provide the space for any of your staffed events. We invite all affiliations and denominations for: 
- Church retreats
- Summer camps
- Vacation Bible school
- Family reunions
- Class reunions
- Scout camps
- Mission groups
- Youth groups of all kind
- Etc.
(Support staff is available for large group extended stay.)
We are comprised of 58 acres nestled on three sides against the Jefferson National Forest in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. We are 20 minutes from Interstate 81 and the historic town of Marion, VA. We are also just ½ mile from Hungry Mother State Park which offers many activity options.
In addition to our facilities HMLRC offers visitors an opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings and other amenities within our boundaries:
