Host your own retreat! Hungry Mother Lutheran Retreat Center has facilities available from spring through fall for churches and other groups to rent for their own retreats. Whether you want to stay in rustic cabins among pine trees, be within a short distance of Hungry Mother Park, or be an adventurer and stay in a tent, Hungry Mother Lutheran Retreat Center (HMLRC) has a site for you!
Food service, facilities, and camp activities are provided at all of our sites. Our staff is here to facilitate your needs.
Hungry mother lutheran retreat center
Hungry Mother Lutheran Retreat Center has a sleeping capacity of 60. Guests sleep in the bunkhouse which sleeps 40 and two cabins that sleep 8 and 12. Our two outdoor Chapels each hold about 16 guests. The Dining Hall (Shumate Hall) holds 150 guests. The pavilion seats plenty of guests as well for outdoor gathering and dining.
Archery, horseshoes, and volleyball provide for fun, recreational opportunities. Plenty of hiking and outdoor relaxation awaits you amid the tall trees. A campfire ring is available for some social time around the fire where some of the best memories are made.
We invite you to join us for a day, a weekend, or an entire week. Groups can book HMLRC for exclusive use. Smaller groups may share weekends, but can choose to have their own meeting spaces and cabins.

Additional Fees:
Staff-led Activities: $50 per hour, per staff member (hikes, archery, soap making*, Bible studies, service projects, etc)
Firepit: $30 per 3 hour use
